Generative AI to optimize patient care pathways

PhD Student

Inria and Doctolib

Your week at a glance

Louise is pursuing a PhD at Inria, the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology, in collaboration with Doctolib, a leading European digital health platform. Her research explores multimodal generative approaches to optimize patient care pathways using outpatient health data. The goal is to generate clinical action recommendations, such as tests or specialist referrals, based on a patient's longitudinal care history, to support medical decision-making. Concretely, she builds on generative models for electronic health records trained through next-event prediction, extending this paradigm in two directions: integrating multimodal clinical data, and enabling clinically grounded reasoning over predicted care trajectories. Before starting her PhD, Louise completed internships in AI for drug discovery and in hospital cardiology research, where she worked on a project aiming to optimize ambulance dispatch in Paris. Louise holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence from École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, specializing in healthcare applications.
